2017 Two new Fruehauf 50MAX B-trains for R.&K. Somers

Mainfreight Contractor R.&K. Somers Ltd
Truck insurance - Truck sales and advice

Another great example of a business that's been able to draw upon a wide range of easytrucks services.
Craig Silby from easytrucks contacted Mainfreight contractor Regan Somers at R.&K. Somers Ltd back in 2015 and offered to review their insurances, suggesting that TruckSure takes a closer look prior to their next renewal. In late 2015 R.&K. Somers Ltd changed insurance broker to Craig Silby at TruckSure, after Craig was able to demonstrate some very helpful knowledge and potential savings. During the review Regan learned that easytrucks is also a Sales Agent for new and used Fruehauf NZ truck bodies and trailers. Regan was looking at upgrading his b-train to a 36 pallet HPMV/50MAX version with mezzanine floors, and asked Craig to provide a quote. Craig spent some considerable time working with Regan to fine-tune the spec, so that it would be just right for the task. As it turned out, Mainfreight needed Regan to put two new sets of trailers on, so after some further discussion, Craig was able to get the two units built identical at Fruehauf, one after the other, and made sure they were both ready on time. Craig even helped Regan find a good finance broker. The price was no different to if they'd purchased directly from Fruehauf, but Regan gets the benefit and ease of a full one-stop-shop service, from Craig Silby at easytrucks. Craig explains "it's great to be able to utilise and adapt my industry knowledge and experience, to offer one-stop-shop solutions for all your transport business wants and needs"
Grimmo Contracting
Truck sales and advice - Truck insurance - Truck Valuations

Back in 2015 Dave (Grimmo) Grimmond contacted easytrucks looking for help with valuing a domestic water tanker fleet. Craig Silby from easytrucks visited and quickly provided TruckValue market valuation reports. Then in 2016 Grimmo got Craig around to review their insurances and quickly found that there were serious savings to be made. Soon after changing over to TruckSure, tragically late in 2016 Grimmo suddenly passed away, and the family were left with a fleet of trucks, trailers, and machinery that was costing a whole lot of money, but was no longer working. The family asked Craig if he could help with selling some of the gear. Several months and a bunch of trips back and forth later, the gear was sold and the family was able to begin getting back on top of things. Craig explains "being able to draw on years of industry knowledge and contacts, to be able to help in a situation such as this, was so rewarding. I can't imagine what it'd be like to be in the situation they were in, it would've been really frightening"
Maree Grimmond
"Working with Craig and Easy Trucks has been a pleasure over the years. Craig has only ever had our best interests at heart and his honesty and his integrity have always impressed us.
After David passed away I did not hesitate in asking Craig to help with the sales of our trucks. He helped make the difficult decisions easier and each of the sales went through quickly and smoothly (even to the point that he reassured us that David’s trucks were going to good homes). Thank you Craig. From the Grimmond Family."

2016 Terence Howard & Sons insurance review

Terence Howard & Sons - TruckSure insurance advice
"Craig called us out of the blue to ask if he could do a review of our insurances. We'd been with the same broker and insurer for years and we'd never had a claim. We'd gone with them through our membership with the local carriers association. We didn't think he'd be able to do better than them, but thought what the hell, give the guy a go. Craig visited us a couple of times and we chatted for ages about trucking and what we do, something our old broker never really did. We thought he was having us on, when he came back with the quote. He reckoned that he could reduce our premiums by several grand a year, mostly because our old broker had let our insurances get out of date. Craig's been great to deal with, he really knows transport and talks our language. We should have got our insurances checked years ago" - Terence Howard

Easytrucks truck sales and advice

"I contacted Craig at easytrucks to seek help with optimising our fleet purchasing. At that time the NZTA had increased the allowable lengths of heavy vehicles and we wanted to take full advantage of the new legislation. Craig ran a full tender process for us resulting in very competitive pricing. After reviewing the entire market he was able to develop some very innovative solutions. The R&R freight task is growing exponentially and we will be using easytrucks on an ongoing basis to help us provide answers to this challenge." - Kim Chamley

2008 V3 Veni Vidi Vici box body truck project

Veni Vidi Vici - Easytrucks truck sales and advice
"I contacted Craig looking to upgrade my old Jap import box body truck. We just picked up a job that started in 6 weeks and desperately needed a bigger truck to cope. Craig came to see us and asked a whole lot of questions about what we do, how we do it etc... He came back to me with a proposal to build a truck entirely around what we do, essentially custom designing the thing to suit us. I trusted Craig's judgement and we ordered the truck. Craig managed the build and made sure it was ready to work in the extremely tight time frame allowed. As it's turned out, Craig was bang on with his design. I can't imagine how we used to get by without this truck, the guys love it. We've since had easytrucks organise us another smaller truck and Craig has found new homes for our older trucks. easytrucks provides a fantastic service, Craig is very knowledgeable and helpful, we won't hesitate to use easytrucks for all our commercial vehicle needs." - Trevor Thomsen

2010 Move Logistics HPMV project

Move Logistics - Easytrucks truck sales and advice

"I contacted Craig at easytrucks looking for some help with a new contract we were tendering for. There were lots of things to check and make sure we got right since the contract needed HPMV units. I'm just too busy to get into that sort of detail. It's great to have someone like Craig to call on when you need the extra knowledge. He keeps right up to date with the latest rules and regulations and knows what's new and innovative in the truck and trailer world. Craig really understands this industry and how it never stops, I suppose it helps that he used to run his own trucks. I highly recommend easytrucks, they save me so much time and really do make a daunting task easy." - Lucky Lopesi

2011 Auckland Council Tip truck project

Auckland Council - Waikumete Cemetery
Easytrucks truck sales and advice

"Easytrucks got to know and understand, and listened to the needs of our business. They put a number of recommendations forward so we could see there were a number of options. They worked within the budget constraints and offered an honest approach when questioned about the vehicles. Craig worked tirelessly to ensure the Council got the right vehicle at the best possible price. They showed we didn't have to settle for a used truck and proved that it really does pay to get good advice when it comes to trucks. Easytrucks provides a brilliant service and I would recommend them to any company or Council." - Daniel Sales

2008 Mr Binz Tipper with crane project

Mr Binz - Easytrucks truck sales and advice
"Craig helped us design and build our last truck back when he was selling new Mitsi's. The truck's been perfect for our work. With easytrucks he can look at the whole truck market and help us get exactly the right truck for the job. Easytrucks came back to us with a really exciting concept, that basically took how they do it in Europe and applied some local ingenuity, it seemed to be over our budget but Craig explained how the truck could claw back the difference in purchase price by being more efficient. One of the great things about easytrucks is that you can carry on running your business, confident that they're on the case and know what they're doing. Easytrucks provides a fantastic service; I recommend them to all businesses that need trucks" - Stephen & Jane Sparnon

I was too busy to spend the time looking. Craig sorted it. I can't believe how easy it was, one minute we were in the crap, next minute Craig had found us a new tractor and side lifter, he even helped design our new logo and graphics scheme, all at an amazingly competitive price.
